I practiced always going down into my shot and continue to look at the cue ball during my stroke. I came home and practiced the shots Stan has in his student handbook. I felt after visualizing the shot and coming down onto the table with my sweep, that in order to better understand the concept, I had to look at the cue ball during my stroke. But my goal was to understand the perception. If I shot the same shot my previous way of aiming, I'd make the shot 100-100x. I would miss shots into the side pocket from 11" away. As each shot was presented to me I would only focus on the cue ball when shooting the shot. I didn't get it.ĭuring my lessons my goal was to get the perception understood. My understanding of the aiming system from the DVD was nonexistent. I had also bought the first DVD approximately a year earlier and watched it too. And prior to my lesson I watched the videos Stan published on YouTube, and came to the lessons with questions. I took lessons from Stan, and CTE was taught to me. Keep using contact point coupled with ghost ball intertwined with some lizard like head bobbing topped off with a pinch of "feel" at the end. I think you think too much instead of doing, that is unless you continue doing whatever the same thing it is that you've always been doing which will give you the same results. Don't learn it, don't try it, or don't use it. I'm not going to try to sway you one way or another on that issue nor CTE. Some people believe in God and others don't.
